Evan Rubenstein, LCSW, MS

I am an experienced Social Worker with a strong background in clinical therapy across acute, medical, community, and outpatient settings. I simultaneously served as a Crisis Therapist with a Mobile Crisis unit—providing mental health triage and support to high-acuity patients in the community—and as a Clinical Evaluator at the hospital’s Behavioral Health Access & Crisis Center (BHACC). I also worked as a Social Worker at the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP), specializing in the stabilization of high-acuity patients within the Boarder Program. Before my hospital roles, I co-facilitated anxiety groups and provided individual therapy as a Primary Therapist at an outpatient mental health clinic.

Background

I was born and raised in Western New York and also hold dual citizenship with Canada. I’m passionate about the outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, photography, and traveling. I come from a family of animal lovers—our pets have included a black Labrador, a Beagle, a couple of retired racing Greyhounds, a Whippet, and even frogs and snakes. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, cooking large meals for friends and family, and attending comedy shows, concerts, and art exhibits.
